What volunteers do

Hello Everyone, A huge welcome to our volunteer page. Everyone who works at the sanctuary is a volunteer. We do not have any paid staff, our funding comes from all year round fundraising and public donations. The sanctuary staff are responsible for the day to day care of over 38 horses and ponies. All our volunteers receive excellent first class training involving, stable management, groundwork and natural horsemanship. We can also teach you to be a "Horse Whisperer". Check out these pictures from some of our recent fundraising events.

This is where we have our open days. We clear out poisonous plants, poo pick, clear any litter. We frequently bring our horses and ponies here when they need to be in a smaller less grassy area for monitoring their welfare. There are no personal facilities here.

Neston Fields.

Raby Park Road. Neston

Horse/Pony Care. Check all horse/ponies daily, check they have plenty of water, check for any signs of injury illness or unusual behavior. Check that fences and gates are secure. Help the farrier and vets during their visits.
